Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference kicked off on Sunday, June 10 at 1pm PT in Los Angeles with tons of teasers, news, announcements, and trailers for new and returning games. Xbox staples like Halo and Gears of War made highly-anticipated returns, we got our first substantial look at Cyberpunk 2077, we learned more about Fallout 76, the new game from Dark Souls developer FromSoftware made a surprise appearance, and so much more.

Below you’ll find a breakdown of all the major announcements from Microsoft’s E3 2018 press conference and where to watch all the new trailers and gameplay demos shown off.

Halo Infinite Revealed

To kick off the Microsoft E3 2018 press conference, the sixth installment in the main Halo franchise was revealed as Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite is powered by the Slipstream Engine. No other details were revealed.

Gears of War 5 Revealed (Plus Two More Gears Games)

Gears of War 5 is officially called Gears 5 and it’s coming in 2019. You play as Kait Diaz, who was introduced in Gears of War 4.

The Gears 5 reveal followed the announcement of two Gears of War spin-offs, Gears Pop and Gears Tactics.

As its name suggests, Gears Pop is a Funko Pop-themed Gears of War game. It will be available on mobile. Gears Tactics is a PC-exclusive turn-based strategy game.

Cyberpunk 2077 Shown Off in New Trailer

We finally got our first real look at Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt RED.

While few if any details were revealed, the trailer did give us a closer look at the city Cyberpunk 2077 is set in, as well as its colorful residents.

Fallout 76 First Look

We also got our first real look at Fallout 76 in its world premiere.

Fallout 76 is set before every other Fallout game in the hills of West Virginia. According to Todd Howard, it’s four times larger than Fallout 4. Players will take on the role of “one of the first to emerge in an untamed and very different wasteland.”

The Division 2 Gets Release Date, Teaser Trailer, and Gameplay Demo

The Division 2 got a release date, which was announced alongside a first trailer and gameplay demo.

Devil May Cry 5 Revealed

Devil May Cry 5 was finally revealed. It’s coming Q2 2019.

It’s been 10 years since Devil May Cry 4 came out in 2008 and over five since DmC: Devil May Cry from 2013.

Dark Souls Dev Reveals Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

FromSoftware revealed its new game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which it teased back during the preshow for the Game Awards 2017. It’s coming in 2019.

Developed by FromSoftware and published by Activision, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is set in feudal Japan and looks similar to the Tenchu series.

You play a ninja with a grappling hook and a prosthetic arm, which was the strange device shown in its initial teaser.

Just Cause 4 Revealed

After appearing in several leaks across Walmart and Steam, Just Cause 4 was officially announced.

Forza Horizon 4 Revealed

Forza Horizon 4 was revealed with a trailer and a stage demo. It’s coming October 2, 2018.

Dying Light 2 Revealed

Dying Light 2 was revealed in a gruesome new trailer.

According to Techland narrative designer Chris Avellone, Dying Light 2 will feature a “functional ecosystem” and “a new vision of the post-apocalypse.”

First Real Look at Shadow of the Tomb Raider

We got our first substantial look at Shadow of the Tomb Raider in a brand new story trailer, as well as a release date of September 14, 2018.

Jump Force Revealed

Bandai Namco revealed Jump Force, a Shonen Jump-themed fighter that brings together characters from popular anime series like Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, and Naruto.

At the end of the trailer, Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note were also teased.

Microsoft Acquires New Studios and Forms New One

Microsoft has acquired several new studios: Forza Horizon developer Playground Games, State of Decay developer Undead Labs, Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice developer Ninja Theory, and We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games. According to Phil Spencer, Playground Games is bringing its “open-world expertise” to “an entirely new project.”

In addition to these four studios, Microsoft is also forming a new studio in Santa Monica called The Initiative, lead by Darrell Gallagher.

New Games Coming to Xbox Game Pass Now and Later

Several new games were added to Xbox Game Pass, among them Fallout 4, The Division, and The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. More games are being added to Xbox Game Pass as well, plus a ton that will be added to the Xbox Game Pass catalogue on launch day.

Crackdown 3 Finally Gets a Release Date

Crackdown 3 finally has a release date.

According to its new trailer, Crackdown 3 is coming in February 2019.

Another Look at Battlefield 5’s Nordly War Story

We got another small tease for Battlefield 5’s Nordly War Story, one of the singleplayer campaign missions from Battlefield 5.

The trailer text stated: “Nordly is the story of a young Norwegian resistance fighter during the German occupation. You must pay an unthinkable price to save not only yourself, but also your family.”

PUBG Teases Snowy Map for Q4 2018

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds got a new Xbox One trailer with a small surprise.

According to the Xbox One trailer, PUBG is teasing a new snow map for Q4 2018. No further details were revealed during the event.

Metro Exodus Release Date Revealed

Metro Exodus now has a release date. It’s coming February 22, 2019.

February 22 is the same day Anthem and Days Gone come out, so it’s going to be a busy day.

New Kingdom Hearts 3 Trailer Reveals Frozen World

The world of Frozen was confirmed for Kingdom Hearts 3 in a brand new trailer.

If you missed it, Kingdom Hearts 3 finally has a release date, too – it’s coming out January 29, 2019.

Nier Automata: Become as Gods Edition was officially revealed after an earlier leak – it’s coming to Xbox One on June 26, 2018 and will include previously released DLC.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition was revealed and it’s coming to Xbox One in Q4 2018. It will also be release on PS4 and Switch.
