Fortnite, which is the major online game as of today's Season 5 launch, says that players might be experiencing problems partying up, which would line up with Sony's acknowledgement that there are issues with social services.
You may run into issues partying with your squad on Playstation. We’re currently monitoring and we'll let you know when that resolves for PS4 players!

Sony just acknowledged the problem on its status website, so we'll see how long the problems go for. Sony's online gaming services have been in the doghouse ever since it was revealed at E3 that the company was locking Fortnite players from using their accounts on the Nintendo Switch if they had ever been linked to a PSN account, and the company hasn't done a whole lot to ameliorate the situation in the meantime. Cross-play has become a contentious issue both due to Fortnite and the unlikely alliance between Nintendo and Microsoft.
We'll keep you posted on PSN's status, but best to check the official Sony page to see what's happening, as well as to periodically check social media to see the relative frequency of furious users. If it foes below one every two minutes or so, things are probably improving.
