Stories For April 2016

The New Trier High School Caucus chose Tuesday incumbent Cathleen Albrecht, former Winnetka Park Board member Brad McLane and outgoing Glencoe Elementary District 35 Board member Jean Hahn as its endorsed candidates in the April school board election.

“We had six outstanding candidates. It was an extremely difficult decision, but I think our delegates were very, very happy with the consensus we came to,” said caucus President James Thompson.

The caucus will now help the candidates collect signatures so that they can be placed on the April 2 ballot, he said. People do not need the endorsement of a caucus to run for municipal, park or school board elections, and the filing period is Dec. 10 to 17.

Albrecht, a Wilmette resident, is completing her first four-year term on the New Trier Board. Thompson said. Incumbents Lori Goldstein and Patrick O’Donoghue are not seeking another term.
