The Hollywood 16 has announced its summer children's movie lineup, running from early June into August. Showings are at 10 a.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and include two family-friendly choices each week, G- or PG-rated.

Admission is free, and doors open at 9:30 a.m. Concession specials are available for groups of 25 or more.

JUNE 12-14

"Kung Fu Panda 3" (PG) — Animated 2016 comedy continuing the adventures of Po (Jack Black), facing threats both natural and supernatural. Also featuring voice actors Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, J.K. Simmons, Jackie Chan, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross and Kate Hudson. One hour 35 minutes.

"The Angry Birds Movie” (PG) — Animated comedy-adventure from 2016, based on the video game. Voice actors include Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, Peter Dinklage and Sean Penn. One hour 37 minutes.

JUNE 19-21

“Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip” (PG) — Comedy adventure from 2015 mixing animation and live action, based on Ross Bagdasarian’s talking-singing chipmunk characters. Alvin, Simon and Theodore travel to Miami to try to stop Dave (Jason Lee) proposing to his girlfriend (Kimberly Williams Paisley). One hour 32 minutes.

"The Lego Batman Movie" (PG) — Animated 2017 action-comedy about the Dark Knight learning to play well with others. Voice actors include Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fiennes and Billy Dee Williams. One hour 44 minutes.

JUNE 26-28

"Sing" (PG) — Animated 2016 musical comedy about a singing competition held to save a theater. Voice actors include Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Hudson and Taron Egerton. One hour 46 minutes.

"The Secret Life of Pets" (PG) — Animated 2016 comedy from the makers of the “Despicable Me” movies, about how pets misbehave when you’re not around. Featuring the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet, Kevin Hart, Ellie Kemper, Albert Brooks, Dana Carvey and Hannibal Burress. One hour 27 minutes.

JULY 3-5

"Storks" (PG) — Animated 2016 comedy about storks, who’ve moved on from delivering babies to delivering packages, dealing with an order for a baby. Voice actors include Kelsey Grammer, Jennifer Aniston, Ty Burrell, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele. One hour 27 minutes.

"The Lorax" (PG) — Animated comedy from 2012, based on Dr. Seuss' story about the grumpy, world-protecting creature. Voice actors include Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift and Betty White. One hour 26 minutes.

JULY 10-12

"The Peanuts Movie" (G) — Animated 2015 big-screen comedy based on Charles Schulz’s legendary comic strip. Snoopy fights the Red Baron, while Brown quests to win the love of the Little Red-Haired Girl. One hour 28 minutes.

"Trolls" (PG) — Animated Dreamworks comedy from 2016, loosely based on the longlived troll dolls, where the happy-go-lucky title characters are beset by gloomy villains the Bergens. Voice actors include Justin Timberlake, Anna Kendrick, Zooey Deschanel, John Cleese, James Corden and Christine Baranski. One hour 32 minutes.

JULY 17-19

"Despicable Me 3" (PG) — Animated 2017 comedy sequel in which not-so-despicable Dru (Steve Carell) meets his long-lost, more charming and successful brother (also Carell), who wants to team up for one last big heist. Other voice actors include Kristen Wiig, Steve Coogan, Julie Andrews and Trey Parker. One hour 29 minutes.

"Ferdinand" (PG) —  Animated 2017 comedy about a kind-hearted bull, mistakenly captured as dangerous, pulling together a misfit team for the trek home. Voice actors include John Cena, Raúl Esparza, Kate McKinnon, David Tennant and Peyton Manning. One hour 48 minutes.

JULY 24-26

"The Emoji Movie" (PG) — Animated 2017 comedy based on, yes, emojis. Voice actors include T.J. Miller, James Corden, Anna Faris, Maya Rudolph, Patrick Stewart and Steven Wright. One hour 26 minutes.

"The Boss Baby" (PG) — Animated 2017 comedy in which a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby pairs with his 7-year-old brother to stop the CEO of Puppy Co. Voice actors include Alec Baldwin, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Tobey Maguire. One hour 37 minutes.

JULY 31-AUG. 2

"Lego Ninjago Movie" (PG) — Animated action-comedy from 2017, with six ninja teens defending their island home. Voice actors include Jackie Chan, Dave Franco, Fred Armisen, Kumail Nanjiani and Michael Pena. One hour 41 minutes.

"Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie" (PG) — 2017 animated comedy, adapted from the children's book series, about a couple of boys who hypnotize their principal into believing he's an utterly ridiculous superhero. Voice actors include Ed Helms, Kevin Hart, Nick Kroll, Kristen Schaal and Jordan Peele. One hour 29 minutes.
